Amit Aggarwal opens new flagship store in Delhi

Couturier Amit Aggarwal has opened a new flagship store in luxury mall DLF Emporio in New Delhi, bringing its store total to three. The new store is designed to explore the brand’s philosophy and has a striking all-black interior. 

“Step into a meditative void, an infinite canvas,” Aggarwal announced on Facebook on May 4, sharing a first look at the store. “The jagged textures of charcoal sand textured walls blend seamlessly into fluid metallic wavy curves, while the gleaming flooring emanates walking on the deep layers of the abyss. Explore the unexplored, endless possibilities.”
 
The new store is designed to act as a retail meets exhibition space to present Aggarwal’s designs as art. The store’s conceptual nature should bring in new customer demographics, according to the brand. 

“The idea was to have a space which speaks of the brand narrative that transcends the boundaries between clothing and art and we needed an extension of the same to speak about the deeper, more thoughtful aspects of the brand that gets lost in retail,” Aggarwal told Vogue India about the store. “While the country’s top brands are concentrated at Killa, we also wanted to focus on other products that don’t fit into the traditional.”
