Amethyst to hold shopping event for Ashdeen in Chennai

Multi-brand luxury Indian fashion boutique Amethyst will host traditional wear brand Ashdeen from September 29 to 30 in Chennai to present its new festive 2021 womenswear collection ‘Paradise Crafted’. 

Chennai’s shoppers will have their first chance to browse Ashdeen’s festive collection of Parsi-Gara inspired sarees designed to highlight a wide range of Indian heritage crafts this week, Amethyst announced in a press release. The shopping event will also give shoppers an opportunity to meet the eponymous designer to discuss the collection and styling options. 
 
Paradise Crafted features rich-hued, embroidered sarees with motifs inspired by the art of engraving or nakkashi. As a celebration of craft knowledge passed down through generations, the collection’s motifs also resemble traditional architecture and temples and monuments. 

The collection has a colour scheme of alphonso, tangerine, red velvet, Irish purple, Arabian green, Arctic blue, and flamingo, according to Ashdeen. A mix of sari and zardosi techniques add to to he opulent feel of the collection.
 
“Our collection of Parsi-Gara inspired saris is an ode to this mastery, to the sheer beauty and know-how passed down generations,” said Ashdeen in a statement.

The line was also inspired by the poems of Bijan Rabiee and features bridal wear options.
