The showcase is open to the public and will run until December 20, Amethyst announced in a press release on December 7. Winter Flowers is designed to feature trans-seasonal fabrics and celebrate indigenous weaves and textiles. By mixing paired-down silhouettes with statement textiles, the collection aims to present a fresh take on traditional handicrafts.

Winter Flowers also has a sustainable element as garments are made from upcycled Ikat weaves, according to the brand. Inspired by the journey of the Silk Route, Central Asian style embroidery adorned jackets made from Eri silk from Assam, Khadi from Pondicherry, and wool from Kashmir.

The collection also features kaftans, wrap dresses, velvet shrugs, and slimline trousers. The line is priced from Rs 9,500 and notable looks include metallic maxi skirts and oversized, draped jackets among others.

Sonam Dubal graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi in 1990 and went on to launch Sanskar by Sonam Dubal in 1999. The brand is inspired by Dubal’s Buddhist heritage and love for traditional textiles. Following a showcase at the the Vancouver Eco Fashion Week, the brand set up ‘Maison Sanskar’ in the Canadian city.
