Amethyst to hold Raw Mango showcase in Chennai

Multi-brand luxury fashion boutique Amethyst will hold a Chennai showcase for Raw Mango from September 16 to 22, as the boutique celebrates its twentieth birthday.

 
From Wednesday, Amethyst will host Sanjay Garg’s womenswear brand Raw Mango, the boutique announced in a press release. The sale event will feature a range of Raw Mango’s handwoven chanderi and banarasi silk sarees, petticoats in mashru silks, and stitched blouses in brocades, silks, and cotton. 
 
The showcase will also feature discounts on all garments with prices starting at Rs 2,350 ($32). Amethyst holds regular brand showcases at its boutique and this is its first since the easing of lockdown restrictions. For safety, the boutique is offering customer appointments for the event.

Sanjay Garg recently took part in the Selvedge World Fair and spoke in seminars on textiles. Garg’s brand responded to the coronavirus pandemic and pan-India lockdown by partnering with performance artist, Aditi Mangaldas, to launch an initiative to support artists and also launched an e-commerce store in July. As lockdown restrictions are mostly lifted, Raw Mango’s flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai are now open.
 
Amethyst launched in the year 2000 in a renovated heritage mansion in Chennai’s Royapettah district. The boutique is also home to a café and flower shop.
