Amethyst launches exclusive showcase for Abraham & Thakore in Chennai

Multi-brand luxury Indian fashion boutique Amethyst has launched an exclusive showcase for Abraham & Thakore in Chennai. The pop-up runs until April 30 and presents the brand’s new womenswear collection in the city.

Abraham & Thakore’s spring/ summer 2023 collection has launched in Chennai with a pop-up showcase at Amethyst, the boutique announced in a press release. The collection features cotton, silk, tencel and linen blend fabrics as well as handloom textiles including Ikat, silk cotton from Maheshwar, and Tencel cotton blends. 
 
The ready-to-wear line mixes classic sarees with fusion style separates including trousers, tunics, dresses, and jackets with the aim of creating a wardrobe for the modern Indian woman. Amethyst’s Abraham & Thakore ‘Shop in Shop’ has been designed to reflect the collection’s inspirations of nature, traditional craft techniques, and contemporary living. 

The collection has a colour palette of soft khakis, blues, and creams as well as more vibrant shades of coral, lemon, and citrus and monochrome touches. The collection takes classic garment shapes and reworks the proportions for a contemporary touch, kept relaxed for everyday wear. 
 
Amethyst is located in Chennai’s Royapettah district on Whites Road. The boutique holds numerous pop-up shopping events to bring luxury brands to Chennai and give the city’s premium shoppers the chance to browse collections offline.
