Aneeth Arora’s sustainable luxury fashion brand Péro launched its new womenswear collection ‘Forget - Me – Not’ in Chennai. The brand held an exclusive showcase at multi-brand store Amethyst’s luxury boutique at The Folly in Royapettah.

The showcase ran from April 28 to 29 at Amethyst and gave Chennai’s shoppers their first chance to browse the collection, Amethyst announced in a press release. The spring/ summer 2023 collection is inspired by daisy and forget-me-not flowers and their playful, loving natures.

The collection features textiles woven by craftspeople from Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. Péro is known for its experimental use of traditional craft techniques and this season it explored beadwork, stumpwork, patchwork, appliqué, cutwork, schiffli, and other techniques as well as laser cutting.

“In the meadows of dreams, filled with innocence and the promise of love, the daisies bloom with their bright and cheerful centre surrounded by delicate white petals that look like the bright sun beaming through a cloud, and the bashful forget - me - nots in the colour of the skies,” said the brand about the collection in a press release.

This season, Péro continued its association with a group of Afghani refugee women who have crocheted delicate edgings for the brand’s garments for the past few seasons. For ‘Forget - Me – Not’, they created fully crocheted garments in delicate hues and featuring whimsical details.
