On December 21, Amethyst launched Amrapali’s latest designs in Chennai and the showcase will run until December 24, the boutique announced in a press release. The event will present a wide array of designs to shoppers for the winter wedding and gifting seasons and enable shoppers to see the designs in person.

Amrapali’s latest designs feature traditional and tribal style pieces adorned with enamel, stones, and beads. Geometric shapes, traditional motifs such as the lotus and fish, and jadau work come together to make for statement necklaces, earrings, bangles, and rings among others.

Amrapali Jewels was first launched in   1978 by Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera, named after an ancient courtesan, with the aim of showing the world the splendour of Indian heritage jewellery. The brand’s Amrapali Jaipur brand specialises in traditional jewellery from the region and mixes heritage craft techniques with bold designs.

Set amongst the greenery of Whites Road in Chennai’s Royapettah district, Amethyst plays host to luxury and independent designers from across India, running dedicated showcases at its boutique space. The boutique has hosted brands including Sonam Dubal, Naushad Ali, and Hidden Harmony so far this year.
