Multi-brand clothing boutique and café Amethyst has brought Bengaluru-based womenswear brand Hidden Harmony to Chennai for a pop-up. The event launched on March 17 and will run until March 21.
Hidden Harmony launched its latest collection in Chennai featuring sustainable textiles and relaxed tailoring, giving the city’s shoppers their first chance to shop the brand in-person, Amethyst announced in a press release. The collection was specially designed for Amethyst and Chennai weather, featuring natural fabrics including Khadi and Chanderi with loose, lightweight layers.
The brand’s designer Sonali Sattar will attend the pop-up to help customers make bespoke orders. Shoppers can book appointments to make orders and meet the designer. The collection has a colour palette of blues, fresh leaf green, yellow, beige, and white and is priced beginning at Rs 5,000.
The event is part of a wider collaboration between Amethyst’s Wild Garden Café and fine dining restaurant Grasshopper Bangalore to celebrate the latter’s 20th anniversary where Grasshopper’s chefs have travelled to Amethyst to cook in its kitchen. Hidden Harmony is the in-house clothing label of Grasshopper and it retails from the ‘Grasshopper Boutique’ located alongside the restaurant in Bengaluru.
Sattar launched Hidden Harmony in 1994 and the brand specialises in clothing which does not use zips and drapes naturally across the body. The brand finishes all of its garments by hand and many garments feature asymmetrical and curved hems.
