American Eagle opens its first franchisee store in India

American Eagle has partnered with Arihant Agencies to launch its first franchise brand store in the country.
 

The store located at Jaipur, Rajasthan is spread across an area of 1,700 square feet across two floors and houses the latest collections from the brand.
 
The brand sees huge potential for growth in the Indian market and plans to open 50 stores over the next two years with its franchisee partners.

Commenting on the launch, Ashish Mukul, brand head at American Eagle India in a statement said, “American Eagle is an iconic global jeans brand. We believe a strong market like Jaipur offers tremendous potential. With stores across NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and now Jaipur, we have covered most of the top cities in the country. With a strong connect now established with Jeans buyers in India and a proven business model, we plan to open another 50 stores over the next two years with key franchisee partners to drive the brands reach across the country."
 
Tarun Sharma, owner of Arihant Agencies added, “We are super excited to be the first franchisee partner on board to launch the American Eagle's first ever high street store. American Eagle retails in India through Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, which owns the rights for the brand in the Indian market.
