Ambika Lal to showcase celestial collection at Lakmé Fashion Week

Kolkata-based designer Ambika Lal will showcase 'The Celestial Collection' at the upcoming winter/festive edition of Lakmé Fashion Week on August 24.

Lal is set to showcase her collection on day four of the fashion week, as part of the 6Degree Studio showcase. Lal’s collection is inspired by “the purity and sanctity of moon and stars” and “the beauty of swirling galaxies of the Milky Way,” according to the brand’s press release.

The garments will include cocktail dresses and gowns and the colour palette will feature metallic hues. Textiles used include mesh, satin, and organza.

The upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 25 in Mumbai and will feature collections for the winter/festive 2019/2020 season. The fashion week is promoted by Hindustan Unilever’s makeup brand Lakmé and IMG Reliance.

Ambika Lal retails from a dedicated e-commerce store and also has a presence in a number of multi-brand boutiques in Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
