Amazon India most desired internet brand: TRA survey
E-commerce major Amazon India has been named the most desired internet brand in the country according to a survey by TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory), named ‘TRA's Most Desired Internet Brands 2020’.
Google was ranked second followed by Facebook and Zomato in the third and fourth position, respectively. The survey listed 30 brands listed in the internet category out of which 16 were Indian, 12 from the U.S. and two from China.
Commenting on the survey, N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA Research in a statement said: "It's interesting to see Indian internet brands dominate the list. Due to data democratisation, nearly 34 percent of Indians have easy and cheap availability of data. It has been a phenomenal growth over the last five years and has huge potential."
“The brands that offered quality of consistent service, availability, and ease of use, seemed to dominate the desire among consumers,” he added.
TRA's 2020 survey also saw new entrants like fashion e-commerce platform Club Factory, beauty e-tailer Nykaa, Reliance Brand’s e-commerce portal, Ajio, among many others.
