Amazon India launches 'Select' program for brands
E-commerce major Amazon India has launched a new program called ‘Select’ for brands selling on its platform to help them build their brand and boost sales.
Amazon aims to develop long-term relationships with brands selling on their platform through the program and will provide support to emerging brands across services.
Commenting on the Select initiative, Amazon India Director and General Manager (Seller Services) Gopal Pillai, in a statement, said, "We have been piloting Select over the last few months and have worked with over 100 brands. Select is a horizontal/cross-category offering targeted at new and existing brands with differentiated product solutions.”
“Our aim is to help across a brands' value chain, from generating assortment insights, to providing quick-turnaround logistics solutions, and driving traffic to their products. The focus of the initiative is to develop long-term relationships with brands to help them generate measurable value for their businesses on Amazon and help them achieve their business aspirations,” he added.
Amazon is working with fashion brands like Miss Chase, Soul Fit, Skin Elements, Zink London and others under the program.
The launch of the Select comes days ahead of Amazon India’s flagship sale event, ‘Great Indian Festival’, which will be held from October 10 to 15.
