With this partnership, Amazon will give customers an option to choose their nearest Vodafone store as a pick-up point to collect their packages and will ship the products to the Vodafone pick-up points.

The partnership is expected to help Amazon expedite its deliveries to customers and also bring down the delivery cost going forward.

Currently, the option to choose Vodafone store as a pick-up point is available in nine cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Indore, and Ahmedabad. Amazon plans to extend this service to other cities in the coming months.

Commenting on the partnership, Prakash Rochlani, director last-mile transportation at Amazon India in a statement said, “The Vodafone store network has a wide presence. It will help Amazon in enhancing its customer experience by allowing customers to get their packages delivered on time instead of postponing it as per their availability at their location.”

The Vodafone stores have been chosen as pick up points based on high customer density. Amazon has said that by the end of this year it will double its presence in the Vodafone store network.
