The limited-edition clutch will make its debut at Alexander Wang’s Spring 2018 show in September, with just 20 copies of the Swarovski-encrusted purse to be manufactured.

The Alexander Wang x Judith Leiber collaboration has created another version of the designer’s signature minaudières, this time in the form of a stack of $100 bills. Wang’s take on Leiber’s famous clutch uses 10,263 Swarovski crystals in shades of green and gunmetal gray to mimic $100 notes, and is accentuated with an actual rubber band to create the illusion of a roll of bills.

Each hand-beaded clutch takes a week to complete and will retail for $4,995. Following its debut at Wang’s runway show in September, the bag will be available in November at Saks Fifth Avenue and the designer’s New York and London stores and online shop. Just 20 copies of the bag will be produced.

The collaboration with Leiber is something of a departure for Wang, who is more known for his streetwear-oriented styles, including the recent launch of his second collection for Adidas. However the New York City-based designer says his eveningwear has become more popular in recent seasons, and could become a more prominent part of his line.
