Alex Perry launches in India at Le Mill

Australian womenswear designer Alex Perry has launched his label in India and the brand is exclusively available at multi-brand luxury boutique Le Mill in Colaba, Mumbai.

Perry is known for his vibrant take on femininity and now a selection of his latest collection of gowns, jumpsuits, and sets is available in India, Le Mill announced on Instagram. The brand’s spring/ summer 2022 collection features neon body-con dresses and suits with boxy jackets and loose shorts for a sporty and glamorous look.  

“I’ve had a love affair with India for the longest time,” Perry told Elle India about his decision to launch in India. “During my regular travels to Mumbai for over 10 years, I have worked with incredible local artisans that have beaded and embroidered some of the most beautiful work for Alex Perry.”

Perry joins international brands including Balenciaga, Zimmerman, Dries Van Noten, and Wandler among others at Le Mill. Perry has already dressed Bollywood celebrities including Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra which bodes well for his brand’s uptake in India. 

“I remember wondering if there was a place for Alex Perry in India, given that traditional Indian fashion was such a definitive part of Indian women’s lives,” said Perry. “Le Mill is such a beautifully curated home for luxury fashion. I visited their store in Bombay on one of my trips and fell in love with it. What excites me most is their truly diverse collection of brands– some I knew alongside others that I have now discovered. I thought to myself that if I was ever to be a part of Indian fashion– Alex Perry’s first home in Mumbai would be at Le Mill’s beautiful store.”
