Alessandra Bettari leaving Valextra for Jil Sander

Franco Pené, president of Onward Luxury Group (ex-Gibo), the European branch of the Japanese group, has recruited Alessandra Bettari to assist and become his right-hand (wo)man.

Bettari, who has an impressive CV, will notably be in charge of the day-to-day management of the Jil Sander label, as CEO Alessandro Cremonesi gets ready to leave and Franco Pené prepares to take his place.

"Alessandra Bettari has already worked for our group, at Joseph. She is coming back to assist me. She will be notably be coordinating the day-to-day management of Jil Sander,' stated Franco Pené.

Alessandra Bettari has an international profile in the fashion and luxury sector. she was formerly the CEO of Italian luxury handbag brand Valextra, which she joined in June 2014 and left in March.

Before that she was the global sales director at Joseph and CEO of Fendi Japan from 2008 to 2012. A position that she also held from 2001 to 2008 at Furla.
