Ajio launches largest-scale to date 'Big Bold Sale'

Reliance Retail’s multi-brand fashion e-commerce platform Ajio aims to on-board new customers with its largest sale event to-date, ‘Big Bold Sale’, from July 1 to 5.

Ajio, which retails a wide range of Indian and international apparel and accessories brands, launched its largest sale yet on Thursday to offer 50% to 90% discounts on over six lakh products by over 2,500 brands. The sale event features global brands including Nike, Puma, Adidas, Superdry, Levis, and United Colors of Benetton, among others, Ajio announced on Facebook. 
 
The sale will also feature hourly deals to encourage people to keep visiting the site and shop the sale on multiple occasions. The sale also features Bollywood celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Guru Randhawa, Shruti Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mouni Roy in its marketing campaigns to attract millennial shoppers. The celebrities have created shoppable ‘wish lists’ for people to browse and purchase their favourite items. 

As the sale is intended to expand the business’ customer base, first-time shoppers are being offered a free first ‘purchase’. As delivery of ‘non-essential’ goods is now permitted in most areas of the country, the business is expecting a strong response. 
 
Founded in Mumbai in 2016, Ajio competes in the fashion e-commerce space with other large-scale multi-brand players such as Myntra and Amazon India. The business retails from its website and mobile app and also runs business-to-business platform Ajio Business.
