After months of remote retail, Sabyasachi reopens flagship stores for appointments
From December 10, luxury traditional wear brand Sabyasachi will open its flagship stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata for private appointments, following months of remote retail.
Sabyasachi has launched in-person by-appointment visits to its five India flagship stores with strict social distancing measures in place. Although a number of brands opened their flagship stores months ago, Sabyasachi has chosen to retail remotely to-date, for maximum safety during the ongoing pandemic.
“We thank all of our customers in India and around the world who have shopped remotely with us this year, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to our stores very soon,” the brand announced on its Facebook page on December 9.
The new store opening schedule comes in time for the winter wedding season for which the brand has released an opulent bridal wear collection. Latest releases feature textiles with custom hand-painted and print artwork by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation and a range of handbags.
The new bridal wear line, which can now be seen in-store by appointment, comprises of contemporary takes on the classic bridal lehenga using handwoven silk matka and features embellished, embroidered borders. Lehengas are paired with Benarasi dupattas and the brand’s signature Kanthi blouse in textured silk.
