Adidas Originals opens store in Gurugram

Adidas has opened its first company-owned Originals store in India in Gurugram’s Ambience Mall. The store measures 3,573 square feet and houses its selection of sneakers and casual wear.

“With the launch of this new exclusive adidas Originals store in India’s millennium city, the brand aims to further propel the sneaker culture and street style fashion game in the National Capital Region to an all new level,” Adidas announced in a press release on Tuesday.

The store launched with a range of promotions and customer-centred activities, including a raffle, carried out while maintaining social distancing regulations. The store also held a celebration for the launch of its new sustainable Stan Smith sneaker. In another facet of its sustainable initiative, the store encouraged people to recycle a plastic bottle on the premises for the chance to win a selection of prizes.

The new store also features an art piece that mixes Gurugram’s modern skyline with a neon logo to provide customers with ample selfie opportunities. A line drawn map of Gurugram city also adorns the space which retails a range of Adidas collaborative collections including Yeezy, Beyonce, Pharrel Williams, and Sean Wotherspoon, among others.
