Adidas appoints Neelendra Singh as India general manager

Adidas has appointed Neelendra Singh as its new general manger for India, effective from May 20. Singh will now report to Adidas’ managing director for emerging markets, Dave Thomas.
Adidas has transferred Neelendra Singh from his post of senior vice president of Global DTC and franchise to general manager for its Indian operations. Singh has worked for Adidas for the past 14 years and has also held roles at the company including vice president for retail and franchise at Adidas and group retail director in South Korea. Singh, who first joined Adidas in 2005, has also worked at other businesses in India including at Orange, Arcus, and Shoppers Stop.
Adidas saw another change in its India management recently when Sean Van Wyk left his role as senior marketing director in the country and moved to a new role with the business based in Dubai.
The German-headquartered sportswear business Adidas has around 57,000 employees worldwide. The brand retails sports clothing, accessories, footwear, and equipment in India and has stores across the country as well as retailing from a number of e-commerce platforms.
