More than 800 exhibitors from 46 countries are expected at the 34th edition of APLF, the leather, materials and components trade show. The early date of the three-day international exhibition will help buyers to source the supplies, materials and components needed to manufacture new designs in time for the Fall/Winter season later in the year.

APLF is scheduled to kick-start from March 14, 2018 in Hong Kong. More than 17,000 visitors are expected at the exhibition.

APLF, a joint venture between UBM Asia Ltd and SIC Group, will be held along with Cashmere World and Fashion Access. The three major trade fairs taking place at the same time, under one roof, will strengthen and place cashmere in a total fashion context that is of great benefit for exhibitors and manufacturers of fine cashmere garments.

"The decision to bring the days of APLF forward to mid March was taken after careful consultation with both exhibitors and buyers. Bearing in mind that fashion is one of the main drivers behind quality leather and other luxury materials such as cashmere, both brands and customers will have similar demands for sustainability and traceability. Hence, there is mutual synergy not only between Cashmere World and Fashion Access in terms of complementary fashion accessories, but also between Cashmere World and APLF Leather & Materials+," said APLF director, Perrine Ardouin.

The exhibition will also host a series of conferences and seminars including sustainability in the leather supply chain and the global footwear retail among others.
