Actor Deepika Padukone’s self-care brand ‘82°E’ (pronounced Eighty-Two East) has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of sunscreen gel ‘‘Licorice Beam’.

The brand claims that its new product is made with a potent combination of licorice & ceramides which offers protection against both UVA and UVB rays.

Commenting on the launch, Keerthana Ramakrishnan, chief marketing officer at 82°E in a statement said, “We are thrilled to introduce Licorice Beam, a clear sunscreen gel that is ideal for when your skin feels oily. We are proud to add to our palette of sunscreens and offer consumers sunscreens in a variety of clinically proven formulations that cater to various skin types, ensuring versatile skin protection and care.”

Anjali Gholap, head of research & development at 82°E added, “With Licorice Beam, we wanted to create a sunscreen that not only provides sun protection but also nourishes and brightens the skin. Licorice Beam is a result of extensive research and development, and we are excited to share this innovative sunscreen that is non-greasy and gives the skin a matte appearance.”

Licorice Beam has been priced at Rs 1,800 ($23) for a 40-gm pack and is exclusively available on the brand’s website.
