1-India Family Mart appoints Venugopal Konchada as chief operating officer

1-India Family Mart, the retail chain owned by Nysaa Retail Private Limited has appointed Venugopal Konchada as its new chief operating officer (COO).
 

As the company’s COO, Venugopal will oversee the entire operational procedures in terms of retail, in-store opening, visual merchandising, business development, and marketing.
 
1-India Family Mart has planned massive expansion with an aim to touch 350 stores in the next five years. 1-India Family Mart is expecting revenue of Rs 2,300 crore ($335.6 million) on the back of its retail expansion.

The company has been on a hiring spree to support its expansion plans and expected to further hire skilled professionals going forward.
 
Commenting on his new role at 1-India Family Mart, Venugopal in a statement said, “My idea behind joining 1-India Family Mart is to take this company to the next level as it has been growing at a fast pace since its inception.
 
“We will be looking towards bringing in more and more skilled professionals into the business to match up to the scaling business and deliver an unparalleled retail experience to nearly 75% of the country’s population."
 
Venugopal Konchada has gained nearly 32 years of experience in the Indian retail space since 1987 and has worked with retail brands like Vishal Megamart and V Mart.
