​ShopClues launches Bollywood theme sale to attract consumers in tier 2, 3 cities

Indian e-commerce marketplace ShopClues has turned to Bollywood to tap consumers in tier 2, 3 markets with its new campaign ‘Satte Pe Satta’ (meaning 'seven on seven' in Hindi) as part of its seventh anniversary celebrations which will be held from January 21 to 27.

The seven-day sale event will have over 5 lakh products on sale with discounts of up to 77 percent across categories like fashion, lifestyle, accessories and many more.
 
The company is expecting strong sales from tier 2, 3 cities during the sale event and also hopes to attract a lot of first-time online customers to strengthen its overall base in the country.

Commenting on the sale event, Radhika Ghai, co-founder, ShopClues in a statement said, “In the last 7 years, ShopClues has experienced a very exciting journey and we have really come a long way expanding our reach, consumer engagement, and offerings to differentiate ourselves in the e-commerce space. It has been a phenomenal year for us in 2018 and we couldn’t be happier as a team.”
 
“Our 7th Anniversary Sale is an endeavor to thank our customers for being our well-wishers and supporters. We have worked hard with our seller partners to curate best offers, on very popular products for our customer, which we are sure would delight them,” she added.
 
ShopClues had posted a 46 percent rise in its revenue to Rs 273 crore (approx $37.2 million) for the financial year 2017-18 and also managed to narrow its losses by 40 percent to Rs 208 crore. The company aims to be profitable in the next 12 to 18 months.
