​Paytm Mall opens office in Bengaluru, to hire aggressively in 2018

Indian e-commerce firm Paytm Mall, a subsidiary of Paytm Ecommerce Pvt Ltd has opened an office in Bengaluru to accommodate the new recruits as it plans to hire aggressively in 2018 to topple leading e-commerce firms Flipkart and Amazon.

The Softbank, Alibaba backed Paytm Mall is planning to go aggressive this year to achieve its goal of becoming the number one e-commerce firm in India by 2022 and is expected to hire over 1000 professionals this year.
 
The company will look to its new recruits across Tech, Product, Business and Design to help in its ambition of becoming the number one e-commerce firm in the country. Paytm had earlier stated that it will invest $2.5 billion to take on the high spending e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart.

The new office is spread of 50,000 square feet and located at Koramangala, the city's technology hub. Once fully operational it will house over 700 professionals.
 
"Paytm Mall is being built with a long term vision of driving rapid growth in the country's retail ecosystem. Our new premises will complement our aggressive hiring plans for 2018 and help us attract new talent across Tech, Product, Business and Design. This young and dynamic talent will play a critical role in our mission to build India's largest and most trusted mobile commerce platform" in a statement said Amit Sinha, COO Paytm Mall.
