British media outlet Drapers has reported that Carolyn Mackenzie, who previously held roles at BHS and Debenhams, has resigned from the company to join Australia's womenswear retailer Forever New to serve in the newly created position of brand director. A search for her successor is already underway.

This departure comes following several changes at the head of the British retailer chain. It was purchased in the spring by South Africa's Brait. An acquisition that resulted in the departure of its General Manager Paul Mason and President Cath Kidston.

This most recent announcement comes following New Look most recent quarterly results, up 5.9% to 756 million pounds. An increase in sales that, on a comparable scale, amounts to 4.9%.

For its last fiscal year, closed at the end of March, the clothing chain saw a progression of 3.4%, notably thanks to a 5% increase at a comparable exchange rate for the UK network. New Look currently has more than 800 retail outlets in 21 countries.
