Michael Kors - Women's Autumn/Winter 2017-18 collection in New York (with interview)

Designer : Michael KorsAmbiance : orchestra guided by Thomas Roussel and no less than 68 passages for this strong and resolutely urban new women’s collection Silhouette : coats, with or without sleeves, worn on trousers suits. Camel and grey dominates. The dresses are made metallic, draped, and light. The knit is reserved for the big enveloping jumpers. The black dresses are adorned with fringes. The men don’t miss the call up, with daring suit colours in chocolate or olive. To note : Michael Kors knows to surround his show with top models, including Edie Campbell, Aymeline Valade, Amber Valletta, Joan Smalls, Bella Hadid, or even kendall Jenner who closes the show. Interview with Michael Kors : I think it really all about strength and sensuality and the combination of the two, it’s very urban, powerful and sexy without being naked. It’s about things that move, skirts and dresses that unwrap when you walk, fringe that flies, a lot of beautiful tailoring and a lot of delicious knitwear, a lot of cozy and glamorous knitwearI’m not a winter person, I’m a summer person, and in my fantasy I would be on a beach in Tahiti all the time, but we all live in an urban situation that’s the reality of life today, so how do we bring that easiness that we find in the summer a sarong or a pareo or kimono, how do we bring that into the city and how do we make it work for a fall winter season, so that’s definitely something we played with here.
