Zingbi Mysore Fashion Week saw an array of designers present their latest collections on the runway. Womenswear was represented by Rinku Sobhti, Kirti Rathore, and Arpitha Randeep among others. The collections were predominately traditional wear with sarees and lehengas offering a multitude of eveningwear options.

Niveditha Gowda of Big Boss fame walked the runway for Jayanthi Ballal, dressed in an opulent green lehenga with gold embellishments. Ballal’s traditional wear collection was presented on an ice blue runway that resembled a winter setting. Ballal was also instrumental in organising the fashion week.

Menswear also played a big part in the event and Swapnil Shinde, Ken Ferns, and Ashfaque Ahmed featured among others.

The designer Shravan Kumar opened the event with his menswear and womenswear show. Kamur’s collection for his brand Shravan’s Studio featured dark and rich hued sarees for women and pure white and natural traditional ensembles for men. The collection was inspired by bygone eras and mixed heavy embellishment with statement jewellery. The runway featured floral patterns and a light display and Kumur described the collection on his brand’s social media as “bygone era vintage weaves."

Mysore Fashion Week has previously taken place in September but this year it waited for the festive season for its presentation.
