"We have signed a strategic partnership with the Chalhoub group" who "will bring us a new visibility," explains its CEO Thierry Gillier, quoted in the columns of the weekly newspaper.

With 300 stores in 50 countries, Zadig et Voltaire is already well installed in Europe and the United States, but the Middle East is still in its infancy with just one store and two corners in Dubai, the newspaper points out.

Also according to the newspaper, the brand is counting on opening a dozen sales points in the region by 2020, starting with a store in Qatar in 2015.

Chalhoub develops distribution strategies in the Middle East for several luxury brands, like Christian Dior, Nina Ricci and Christofle, as stated on its website. It is present in 14 countries and leads 470 points of sale.
