The Japanese designer has dreamed up a headscarf with couture finishes in honour of the famous Parisian hotel-palace, celebrating its 180th anniversary this year. The item will be available as a very limited edition of 30 pieces only, to be sold exclusively at Le Meurice (Paris, 1st arrondissement).

This limited edition of thirty headscarves is inspired by all of the Le Meurice design codes. Its signature colours, the hand-painted canvas by Ara Starck, stretched high above the Le Dali restaurant, and the Parisian palace's other symbols.

In his design, drawn on a Japanese silk stole, Yohji Yamamoto has blended the Le Meurice signature green colour with warmer hues, inspired by the canvas that decorates the Le Dali restaurant.

Another source of inspiration, and not an inconsiderable one, was Salvador Dali himself, an iconic regular client at Le Meurice. The Japanese stylist has thus let himself be influenced by the renowned Spanish painter's realm.

A last detail to be appreciated in the design: the greyhound, a symbol of Le Meurice, is subtly represented through the scarf's 'thin, flowing lines".

This anniversary item is offered in a 30-pieces limited edition, available exclusively at the Meurice. The price is € 450 per scarf.
