“The brand is experiencing an exponential amount of growth in its online sales, and expects it to grow to 40 per cent in three to four years,” said Harikirat Singh, managing director, Woodland

He said e-commerce has slowly grown to be a big component of their sales. Apart from their own site, Woodland also retails products at marketplaces including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal among other, thereby adding to volumes.

Currently, Woodland runs 600 stores across India, simultaneous to its online operations.

“We are planning to set up 50 more stores this year majority of which will be in tier I, II & III cities. Around five Woodland stores will also be opened in different metro cities,” Singh said.

Woodland is also planning to increase its export volumes this year. Currently, the mix of domestic sales versus exports of the brand is in the ratio of 80:20, which the brand said, they are consciously trying to increase its exports contribution and gradually to bring it to 50:50 ratio.

Recently, Woodland had partnered with Chinese company Aokang International to enter China. Following the partnership, Woodland will sell products in about 5,000 retail outlets in China.
