V-Mart opens first fashion store in Jammu

V-Mart Retail Ltd has opened its first fashion store in Jammu to expand the presence in the valley. The store takes its count to four in the state of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K).
 

V-Mart already has stores in Srinagar, Udhampur and Kathua. The new store in Jammu is spread across a retail area of 9300 square feet.
 
Snehal Shah, Vice-President, Marketing & Operations, V-Mart Retail Ltd in a statement said, “We are proud to launch our store in the city of temples Jammu. Mostly we operate in Tier-II and Tier-III cities in virgin areas where we can cater to young, aspirational class with their fashion and lifestyle needs by providing high-end fashion at a pocket friendly price.”

V Mart has opened around 10 new stores in the last quarter, with 4 additions in Uttar Pradesh, 2 in Jharkhand, 2 in Bihar, 1 in Uttarakhand and 1 in Odisha. V-Mart Retail Ltd net profit for the quarter ended December 2017 rose to Rs 37 crore (approx $5.7 million).
 
 V-Mart is a hypermarket format retail chain with a strong presence in tier 2, 3 cities across the country. It offers clothing, accessories, and personal care products for men, women, and children.
