“Going forward we are creating our own Tanishq jewellery platform and then loading the entire store inventory on to it and customers will be able to see the entire depending on where they login from and which store they are interested in. It is expected to be completed in next 6-8 months,” Tanishq’s senior vice president of retail and marketing, Sandeep Kulhalli, told IndiaRetailing. The brand has Titan as its online partner for the venture.

The jewellery brand, which is part of the Tata Group, will also continue to expand offline. The brand opens on average between 30 and 40 stores a year and has 15 store openings planned for the remainder of this fiscal. According to Kulhalli, the brand has also been consistently growing at a rate of between 30 and 40 percent year-on-year.

Kulhalli explained how the upcoming e-commerce store will run and said: “We will also be offering facilities like pay online and get it delivered at home. Customer[s] will be treated as a king and it will be at his/ her disposal how they want to interact with the Tanishq stores.”

Tanishq currently has a total of 267 stores spread over 165 cities as well as 22 Mia and three Zoya stores.
