TBZ "The Original" targets young fashion crowd with two new Mumbai stores

The jeweller Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri Limited (TBZ) has just opened two new flagship stores at Ghatkopar and Navi, Mumbai, in order to engage a younger audience.

Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri Limited was established as a fine jeweller 150 years ago and is now a jewellery brand well known for its traditional and bridal jewellery. However, the company is now looking to expand its reputation to include a more contemporary section of the market.

On September 4, the brand opened two new flagship stores, one at R-City Mall in Ghatkopar and another at Seawoods in Grand Central, Navi, both in the city of Mumbai. The focus of these two new stores will be on their more contemporary, modern, and fashion forward pieces and the idea is that these new stores will engage a younger crowd.

When asked about the brand’s retail expansion, Raashi Zaveri, the Director of TBZ Ltd., said: “The new TBZ “The Original” stores are positioned as new-age jewellery fashion destinations, we have crafted new and fun experiences for the millennials and new age customers, a statement of self-expression.” 

“This [is a] conscious and strategic decision to reach out to a target audience who are different from our core audience," Zaveri added. "These stores address the fashion conscious, affluent customers who think of jewellery as a fashion statement.”
