Polyester yarn manufacturer Sybly Industries has successfully ventured into using recycled polyester fibre for manufacturing of polyester yarn.

Recycled polyester yarn (RPY) is not only cost effective with matching quality, but it is also environment-friendly, the company said in a BSE filing.

Products made of RPY are already being sourced from India by big apparel and sportswear giants like Nike, Adidas and Levi’s. Jerseys made of 100 per cent RPY were donned by RCB team in recent IPL matches.

Manufacturing polyester yarn from recycled fibre may increase margins up to 10 per cent in comparison to the use of fresh fibre, according to the company.

“Looking into the future of this product, the company intends to launch its own brand of quality polyester yarn made from recycled polyester fibre,” Sybly said.
