Stutterheim and Kinfolk magazine collaborate on a capsule collection

The 'slow lifestyle' magazine Kinfolk was launched in the USA in 2011. Inspired by the seasons, it features content on design, fashion, decoration and food. A minimalist approach which in October 2014 encouraged the collective to launch its first clothing collection, labelled Ouur, in association with the Japanese interior decoration brand Actus.

Ouur is distributed exclusively in Japan. The brand targets women and men with a style that's "both pared-down and shunning the futile", based on a neutral colour palette and atemporal items, emphasising pleasant fabrics like pure cotton and materials sourced from Europe and Japan, and featuring comfortable cuts.

Swedish label Stutterheim shares this vision. The brand, a benchmark for macks and raincoats full of quirky functionalities - fond of introducing new models only when feeling up to it - joined forces with Ouur to create a first capsule collection consisting of two raincoats.

They are variants of Stutterheim's signature Stockholm model, made popular by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The two raincoats are inspired by nature themes - water and earth - and play on twin colour blocks, "making Ouur's neutral colour palette veer towards Swedish brand Stutterheim."

The limited edition models will be available from the end of November at Isetan in Tokyo, at selected Japanese multi-brand stores and on www.stutterheim.com.
