The Sector Head of Spencer’s Retail, Shashwat Goenka, told the Times of India that Ranbir ad Shraddha Kapoor will represent 2Bme as brand ambassadors across all formats of communications.

“We are planning to open exclusive brand outlets for 2Bme and create a separate brand identity for this,” explained Goenka, who aims to take the brand beyond the Spencer’s format.

Goenka stated that the business is expecting Rs 300 crore ($45 million) in revenue from 2Bme over the next three to four years. At present, the brand accounts for five percent of Spencer’s Retail’s total revenue but Goenka expects the figure to double to ten percent in the next few years.

“We are giving a special thrust on apparel. The margin in apparel is also good,” said Goenka.

2Bme will expand through exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and opened its first EBO last month in Kolkata.

Within the coming year, the business will open ten or 11 EBOs for 2Bme in five or six Indian cities where Spencer’s Retail is already present. The size of each EBO will be between 1,000 and 3,000 square feet. The business is also currently looking into online retail formats.
