Snapdeal partners with leading brands to boost fashion fold

India’s leading E-commerce major Snapdeal will launch more than 120 fashion brands on its platform, which is part of the company’s fashion portfolio expansion, the company said in a statement.

Snapdeal have partnered with leading fashion brands including United Colors of Benetton, Puma, Nautica, U.S Polo Association and Steve Madden, with a focus to build its fashion vertical more prominently.
 
Fashion contributes to 40% of Snapdeal’s sales volumes and has grown by a year-on-year growth of 50%. And the majority of the growth has been fuelled by Tier I and II cities, the company said.

“We realised that there is an ever growing demand for branded fashion among Indian consumers. And in line with our brand philosophy, Unbox Zindagi, we are always looking for ways to help our consumers fulfil these innate desires. The expansion of our fashion assortment is a major step in that direction. From national to international brands, Snapdeal aims to become the one stop shop for every fashion trend and style needs,” Vishal Chadha, senior vice president, business, Snapdeal said.
 
E-commerce companies are boosting its fashion segment in India to take on the undisputed leader Flipkart which owns fashion marketplaces Myntra and Jabong. Myntra and Jabong together hold a sizeable share of the online fashion market in the country.
