Shyamal & Bhumika open in DLF Emporio

The design duo Shyamal & Bhumika have just opened their first Delhi based flagship store in the city’s DLF Emporio.

The store includes handmade bridal ensembles with the brand’s signature heavy embellishment and personalised take on traditional wear. This is Shyamal & Bhumika’s first store in New Delhi with two other flagship stores located in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

The store has been designed to resemble an old Haveli and has mood lighting to illuminate the display mannequins from below and show off their fine detailing. The store also features a comfortable seating area for consultations with brown armchairs and baroque inspired tables. The dark, neutral tones colour scheme of the store contrasts with the bright and rich hues of the designs and the brand’s name appears in its signature gold at the top of the storefront.

Shyamal & Bhumika will showcase their “Fall 2018” collection on March 14, the first day of Amazon India Fashion Week. After the collection debuts on the runway, it will later be available in the brand’s new store.

Shyamal & Bhumika’s namesake designers started working together in 2000 and their brand was founded in 2003. The brand made its fashion week debut in 2006 and the business is now based in Ahmedabad.
