ShopClues launches GST compliance services

Indian e-commerce marketplace ShopClues will conduct workshops to help MSME merchants make a smooth transition to Goods and Services Tax (GST) when it is rolled out on July 1.
The online marketplace has already made the changes to its IT and billing system and has already started migrating to adhere to the requirements of the new tax regime.
ShopClues' merchants primarily belong to tier II, III and IV cities and are unregistered under GST. The company has launched registration service for its merchants to obtain the GTIN number in order to ensure that they do not face issues while selling online.
The e-commerce company is also working with its third party logistic partners for implementing GST compliance in logistics operations, according to media reports.
Merchants of Shopclues will also have the option to generate invoices, Eway bills or files their GST returns via its merchant portal.
The GST compliance services of ShopClues have also been extended to offline retailers who use 'Reach', a point of sale offering used in retail stores.
