The second edition of the IFS will take place in Kochi on March 3 - India Fashion Summit- Facebook

The IFS will return to Kochi this year and bring together eminent members of the Indian fashion industry to discuss the sector’s most pressing topics at the Marriott Hotel. This season, called "Sustainable Fashion: Handwoven Magic", the focus will be on sustainability in textile production which comes as no surprise as the past year has seen the Union Government promote handloom with the “Make in India” campaign and designers embracing the fabric.

The event is organised by fashion journalist Vinod Nair, management expert Arun Balachandran, and India Fashion Incubator. The IFS aims to promote young designers, especially those who are using sustainable methods of production. Networking with a view to promoting sustainability will also be facilitated and new consumer trends and behaviour will also be discussed.

The IFS will feature an array of speakers including fashion designers Manish Malhotra, Peter D’Ascoli, Wendell Rodricks, Arjun Khanna, Suket Dhir, Alan Alexander Kaleekal, Jebin Johny and Hari Anand. Fashion journalists Anil Chopra (Former CEO, Lakme Lever Ltd), Vinod Nair (Former Fashion Editor, Hindustan Times and Times Of India), and Neena Haridas (Editorial Director, L’Officiel India) and Online Fashion Retail Heads including Narendra Kumar (Creative Head, Amazon Fashion) and Nihal Rajan (Vice President and Head of Design-MFB, Myntra Designs) will also be on the panel.
