"Céline Eyewear became part of Safilo's portfolio in 2012, and currently accounts for nearly 3% of its worldwide sales, chiefly in Europe and North America," stated the company, without offering any other explanation.

At the same time, Safilo announced the continuation of its partnership with another of the LVMH group's fashion labels. The licence agreement for the design, production and distribution of the Dior and Dior Homme eyeglasses and sunglasses has been extended until 31st December 2017.

Besides Safilo's own brands, the Italian manufacturer's portfolio includes licences for major fashion labels such as Fendi, Givenchy, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Moschino and Max Mara.
