Saaksha & Kinni showcase ‘Forza’ collection of day 4 of Lakmé Fashion Week

Designer duo Saaksha and Kinni showcased their collection ‘Forza’ ('strength', or 'force') which has been inspired by the cultural heritage of Gujarat on day 4 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2018.
 

The designers highlighted the spirit of Gujarat through their collection that included long billowy skirts paired with stylish crop tops, flowy capes, loose pants and breezy maxi dresses in silks and satins.
 
Commenting on the Forza collection, the designer duo Saaksha and Kinni in a statement said, “We are very excited to present ‘Forza’ that took us back to the endless summers spent in Gujarat – and through our breezy silhouettes and relaxed fits, it’s our attempt to reclaim that feeling of anything-is-possible that we first felt on Gujarat’s soil. With Forza, we’re paying our respects to the past, discovering the present, and creating for the future."

The collection featured lilacs, reds, purples and white mixed with blacks, maroons, and mustards with shapes inspired by art and the designers’ heritage.
 
The traditional mirror work in the embroideries, along with the designer’s signature metal and thread work against darker embroideries also featured heavily in the Forza collection.
