Roposo, a fashion social network, has announced the three fashion designers and stylists who won the contest called ‘Roposo Fashion Fables' that was organised in partnership with leading fashion designers. Jeel Cheda from iNIFD Andheri, Nikita Jain from FAD International, and Kinjal Bafna from BD Somani were declared the winners of the contest.

The winners will now be able to hone their skills under the guidance of the fashion gurus themselves, and expand their professional network, starting this month.

The nationwide hunt for next-gen fashion designers went live in April on Roposo. The contest aimed at scouting for fresh talent, training them and creating a fashion revolution through their entrepreneurial skills. The event witnessed alumni of fashion institutes from past three years across India.

The winners for the internship contest were selected on the basis of their creations and the uniqueness of designs in their portfolios posted on Roposo. This was followed by an interview with the jury members like stylist Shalini Thakur - who has worked on television commercials, print campaigns, and digital media, stylist and designer Kristy De Cunha - well-known for her edgy and avant-garde couture in films, and Kalyani Desai – stylist and fashion entrepreneur. The internship duration will vary from 1 month to 3 months depending on the judges' requirements.

"I would like to applaud all the three young designers who have managed to earn this opportunity to unleash their creative skills and make it big in the fashion industry. We were overwhelmed by the number of outstanding entries received. While we could choose only three winners, each entry had something fantastic and formidable to offer, convincing us that the future of the Indian fashion industry is extremely bright. We, at Roposo, are committed to come up with more such initiatives to provide a platform for budding talent from across India," said Mayank Bhangadia, co-founder and CEO, Roposo.

On winning the contest, an excited Chheda who will be interning with Desai, said, "I am glad to have come across this opportunity to intern with Kalyani Desai through Roposo's contest. I have always wanted to do something substantial in the field of fashion and this seems like my first shot at it. I couldn’t have asked for a better break or learning opportunity."

"Fashion is a big business today with the ever-changing tastes and preferences of the consumers. For aspiring students, internships play an invaluable part in their career. With Roposo giving them this opportunity, students will be able to look beyond classroom learning and expand their skills and become truly industry-ready," said De Cunha.
