Reebok India, which recently got the nod from the government to begin opening single-brand retail outlets across the country, is looking to tap the growing women’s fitness market in India with the expansion of its product offerings. It has designed the new Gigi Club C Melted Metal sneakers in collaboration with its global brand ambassador, supermodel Gigi Hadid.

Senior Director of Reebok India, Silvia Tallon, said, "Reebok has been synonymous with stylish comfort and every product innovation reiterates the same. Earlier this year, the brand launched products in the classic and fitness arena, endorsed by brand ambassador Gigi Hadid which soon became global favorites."

"Melted Metal is a new offering from the same range, and the excitement at the launch makes us believe it will be received with the same love and enthusiasm," Tallon added.

In September this year, the company introduced its popular UFC collection targeted at the fitness-conscious women of India. It signed actors like Malaika Arora, Kangana Ranaut to endorse the brand in order to boost sales in one of the fastest-growing athleisure markets in the world.

Reebok had reported a net profit of Rs 18.89 crore (approx $2.9 million) this year against a net loss of Rs 35.9 crore (approx $5.5 million) in the previous fiscal year. The company is looking to further boost its revenue and profits with its latest offerings and expecting the women’s segment to contribute heavily in the next quarter.
