Raymond to focus on region based fabrics, launches Glanzo collection in West Bengal

Indian textile and apparel major Raymond Ltd is focusing on regional specific fabrics to cater to the various diverse needs of consumers across the country and has launched the Glanzo collection for West Bengal region.

The company has designed this region based initiative after studying various markets in India to launch fabrics that will suit the taste of the region. After West Bengal, Raymond has plans to take this strategy to other markets across India as it contributes additional sales of five to seven per cent.

The Glanzo Collection from Raymond offers a colour palette of multiple shades and hues of festive colours for special occasions with new designs of Poly Viscose blended fabrics. The Glanzo Collection from Raymond can be used for crafting trousers, suits, jackets and bandhgalas for a custom fit, the company said in the statement.

We are working on our two key pillars of Innovation and Quality to offer new-age range of Fabrics for a specific region at attractive price points.”

The Glanzo collection will be available in over 40 Raymond stores, 50 leading multi—branded outlets and small retailers in West Bengal.

Raymond is looking to expand its retail presence to about 1,500 stores by 2020 and has said that it will open nearly 150-200 stores this year. It has earmarked a Rs 150 crore towards retail expansion this year.

Raymond Limited manufactures and sells worsted fabrics in India and internationally. It provides fabric and apparel products under the Raymond, Raymond (Ready-To-Wear), Park Avenue, ColorPlus, Parx, Makers, and Notting Hill brands.
