Sanjeev Rao, who joined Raymond in 2015 as Director of Business Development, will now shift his role to one that focuses primarily on trade sales and relationships. Rao will now be responsible for sales and distribution for Raymond’s subsidiary Park Avenue Womenswear, as well as international markets (for Raymond’s apparel lines).

Rao’s new role comes at a time when Raymond is consolidating all trade sales and relationship activities in its apparel sector under one vertical, in order to streamline operations. In this way, the National Sales Team will now be part of Rao’s team and he will lead its operations.

Rao has been praised by Raymond for his work as Director of Business Development and he delivered strong results in the two years he spent in the role. It is, therefore, expected that he will bring the same dynamism and motivation to his new role.

Rao has been specifically praised for creating structure in business development processes and creating awareness around Raymond’s retail portfolio. As Raymond reported revenue increase and a large profit in its most recent financial results, it is hoping that this restructuring will further drive growth.
