Titled Collide, the collaboration is made up of men’s and women’s vests and puffer jackets rendered in Lauren’s preferred palette of olive green and Moncler’s signature red. The pieces will be sold in limited quantities, with just 572 items in total to be produced.

Lauren, who began his label in 2011 and is based in Los Angeles, was approached by Moncler to collaborate on a collection. He joins a string of young designers, including Virgil Abloh of Off-white, to collaborate with the Italian apparel label.

The collection was first previewed at men’s fashion week in Paris in March and showcases Lauren’s love of vintage by utilizing repurposed fabrics to create a collage of patterns and textures in each piece. Lauren says it was important as well to incorporate traditional elements of Moncler’s styles.

The Collide collaboration is available at select Moncler boutiques in the likes of Milan, Paris, New York and Tokyo, as well as at Barneys New York. The limited edition jackets will retail for upwards of $4,000.
