RSS-backed Deen Dayal Dham to launch Kamdhenu line on Amazon India

The pharmacy Deen Dayal Dham, backed by the NGO Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will launch its range of clothing; natural cosmetics; and other products on Amazon India this October.

The Deen Dayal Dham centre will start by selling around 30 personal care and therapeutic products on Amazon India and its tailoring unit will sell 10 styles of clothing that include kurtas. Kurtas will come in an array of colours and include the “Modi” kurta and “Yogi” kurta.

Deen Dayal Dham’s Kamdhenu line that will launch online includes natural personal care items such as shampoos, soaps, face packs, and toothpaste, which have cow urine and dung (gomay) as the base ingredients. Other products will include dietary supplements that also include natural ingredients.

“Products of our Kamdhenu line that have cow urine among the main ingredients, and kurtas and other khadi products will be available on Amazon soon,” the Dham’s deputy secretary Manish Gupta told the Times of India.

RSS Spokesperson Arun Kumar said in a statement that selling these products online will help to create employment.

The Dham already sells around Rs 1 lakh ($1,376) of personal care products and supplements and Rs 3 lakh of apparel every month, according to Kumar. Along with the online launch, production will also be increased to meet the greater demand. The Dham currently has 10 workers and 90 cows and has plans to scale up the business.
