Porsche Design, which hit the runway with its men's FW16/17 collection at Berlin Fashion Week, took the opportunity to announce that it has appointed Pierre Costin its new Creative Director, "effective immediately".

The Quebecois designer will thus be leading the label's design team based in Berlin. He succeeds Thomas Steinbrück, who left the German luxury house last year to oversee the Liebeskind Berlin label.

Pierre Costin has in fact been with Porsche Design for several years now as Senior Designer in the fashion division and notably presented the label's women's ready-to-wear line at New York Fashion Week last February.

The designer attended the famed Parsons School of Design in New York and has worked at, among other places, Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole.
